Here at FourFiveTwo Headquarters we have a lot of free time on our hands. Below are some of our favorite sites to visit when we aren’t extolling the virtues of Ashley Cole and John Terry or finding new ways to describe Luis Suarez.

A Football Report: An excellent site with an eclectic mix of articles and authors, you won’t leave here disappointed.

Dirty Tackle: One of the premier funny sites devoted to soccer. Brooks and company are guaranteed to leave you laughing with their accounts of Berbatov and a host of other players who open their hearts to readers.

The False Nine: A great blog that covers football tactics for the common fan, as well as talking a little bit about soccer in general.

Football Ramble:Is a great site and show and worth checking out as often as you can click on it.

The Footy Blog: A nice blog that does a great job of keeping you up to date with some of the more nuanced parts of soccer.

Futfanatico: Eliott has been doing this for a while, and he is your go to source of info for all things South American and Spanish, at least until we can convince BG he should write some more.

The Guardian: If you don’t know what the Guardian is you should just click the link and enjoy. While I don’t always agree with their opinions, no one does a better job in Britain of trying to cover soccer in a comprehensive manner.

In Bed With Maradona: A fantastic site with some longer pieces, they cover soccer from any league anywhere in the world. A lot of the premier soccer journalists have gotten noticed from their work here, and it is always worth a gander or two.

Kickette: These fine ladies are your first stop for all things entertainment wise about players. Some guy has a new girlfriend? These ladies will let you know. And don’t worry guys, there are plenty of WAG shots too.

Left Back In the Changing Room: A fantastic blog with a bit of a Scottish twist, you can never go wrong with some of the insights at this blog.

Run of Play: Brian Phillips moved his full-fledged website to a tumblr site as he moved to write for Grantland. While I don’t always agree with his take, he is always good for an interesting perspective on soccer.

SB Nation Soccer: The location of SB Nations soccer coverage. From here you can find information on the major leagues in the world, plus find team specific info from over 30 team-specific blogs.

The Shin Guardian: This is the premier blog for all things involving the USMNT. They also dabble in MLS and EPL action, but their previews and reviews of USMNT are worth their weight in gold.

The Swiss Ramble: If you want to know about football and finance this is your blog. Top notch work in the important role of money and football.

Two Hundred Percent: These guys have been in business since 2006 and they know it all. Often their topics cover the lower league, but it makes everything even more interesting. They also don’t take themselves to seriously which is always a plus in our book.

Unprofessional Foul: Though they no longer write, the full site of UF can still be viewed in all its glory.

Who Ate All the Pies: Always fun to head over here for some funny and insightful commentary.

Zonal Marking: This is the tactics site on the interwebz. It is a side project of the author, but it is always worth checking to see if your team’s latest victory or loss was broken down. B
