We’ve seen it in the past with Joey Barton and Andy Carroll Vinny Jones etc, footballers always find trouble in cities where they do not play their trade. Especially late nights on the piss eh?
Newcastle United defender Danny Simpson was found in the above state on a Manchester street at about 4 a.m., Mancunian time.
If the picture isn’t enough for you blood seekers, here’s the video of him being found by spectators:
There’s really not a whole hell of a lot of details right now besides that, aside from a few bumps and bruises, Danny’s alright and in good spirits about it.
He has spoken a little about the incident via social media, tweeting: “For the record im okay, 2 on 1 well done!”. Also tweeting to his bodybuilding father: “where was you lol”.
As far as we know police are not investigating the incident any further and Newcastle United have not made any comments. So that leaves us at fourfivetwo, to take action and brandish a Barton Award to those behind the assault for unfairly jumping the man 2-1. One at a time, please!
